1927

Don Lusby starts business in Pine Bluff.

1961

Pine Bluff Fire Department takes over Pine Bluff ambulance service. During Lusby's tenure, the service was the first in Arkansas to provide on-board oxygen on emergency ambulances.

1971

Emergency ambulance service is returned to Lusby's from the Pine Bluff Fire Department.

1976

Lusby's is the first ambulance service in Arkansas to operate a fully-equipped multi-purpose non-ambulance emergency rescue unit.

1986

Lusby's become first local ALS ( Advanced Life Support) ambulance service.

1990

Lusby's is the first local ambulance service to provide fully-certified and licensed paramedics on its ambulances. Ambulances are upgraded to facilitate paramedic level patient treatment.

1991

Lusby expands service area to include all of Bradley County.

1992

Lusby's rescue unit becomes the first certified Advance Rescue Unit in Arkansas.

1998

Lusby expands service area to include England and the southern third of Lonoke County.

2000

Lusby is the first emergency ambulance service in Arkansas to earn full three-year accreditation from the Commission on Accreditation of Ambulance Services.

2001

Ron Lusby sold paramedic service to Kenneth Starnes and is now Emergency Ambulance Service Inc. (EASI)

2001

EASI expands service area to include Lincoln and Dallas Counties. EASI is selected as Arkansas Advanced Life Support Service of the Year.

2005

EASI acquires Ambulance Transport Service Inc.

2005

EASI expands service to Lake Village

2006

EASI expands service area to Cleveland County.

2007

EASI purchases new dispatch and truck radios. These radios will enhance our ability to communicate with our crews around the state and communicate with surrounding agencies in the event of a natural disaster.
